Despite all of the brushing and tree trimming by the DNR this past fall mother nature was still able to bend a couple hundred tress across the trails on Black Mountain.
A crew of volunteers went out and worked for 2 full days on the trails. They gave the following report:
Concentrating on clearing & eventually grooming the original 7.5 mile loops we originally did, expanding however possible depending on amount of help. Following Abby's lead, we did make it down & back to the Presque Isle Shelter, both sides of the Bluffs loop, rollercoaster loop, but none of the hill turnouts.
Saturday Dave Spitzli & I worked doing the same blasting an opening through as much as possible until near dark.
So there are trails ready for skiers. More miles will be added as time allows.
