Fresh Snow

We have had about 4 inches of new snow yesterday and last night.  More in some spots.

Early this morning ( Friday )  Gloria, Tom & Jim groomed the outer loop.  We went from the Bluffs trailhead ( marker 31) out to the upper PI trail head ( marker 18 ) then down to the PI lower trailhead ( marker 1).  Then bak along the east side out to markers 13 & 14 and back to the upper parking lot.
From there we went out to the Twin Lakes trailhead ( marker  38 ) and back to the Bluffs.

The first Black dimond turnout on the Cheboygan side was also done as was the tour cutoff marker 20, 21 & 22.

All in all about a 30 k loop groomed and track set.

  1. Fantastic grooming and tracking, thanks Jim, Gloria and Tom! You do one of the best jobs in northern Michigan! I ski regularly the northern loops 1-18, as I live about 20 minutes from the north lot. I do not encounter snowmobile or horse trespassers, the snowmobiles stay on the trails well in those loops. Sorry you have encountered issues. Your grooming is well appreciated. I am 60 and staying in somewhat decent shape because of you guys! Wonderful conditions!
